wenn ich da an die Preise auf einigen Weihnachtsmärkten denke, wo der Preis fast gerade mal den Wollpreis deckt.

Na ja, die "kilt-socks" sind aber auch lange Kniestrümpfe mit sehr kunstvollem Muster, nicht wirklich mit handgestrickten "Markt-Socken" vergleichbar! Die Tweed-Socken auf der Seite sind da schon eher ähnlich.
Es macht sicher auch viel aus, in welcher Umgebung man seine gestrickten Produkte anbietet. Ein reiner "Kunsthandwerker-Markt" mit vielen hochpreisigen und "künstlerisch wertvollen" Angeboten (Unikate) zieht ein zahlungswilligeres Publikum an als ein "normaler" Markt mit vielen Ständen mit (teilweise importierten) Billig-Artikeln.
Wenn Stand-Gestaltung (inklusive optischer Ausstattung des Personals) und hochwertige, exklusive Angebote, schon optisch "aus einem Guß" sind und sich gut in den Rahmen eines anspruchsvollen Kunsthandwerkermarkts einfügen, sollten auch bessere Preise zu erzielen sein.

Hello from a sunny Isle of Harris, you have been commenting on my kilt socks, I have had many visitors to my website, thank you. Unfortunately due to a spinal injury I do not spin but I do thankfully knit. Most of the knitting I do is kilt socks, and it takes me approx 40 hours to knit a pair, hence the price, boot socks using our own Harris Wool take much less time as I can knit a pair in a few hours.
I hope you do not mind me joining the conversation even though it is in English..

I find your socks nice, unfortunately it is here in Germany as the homemade stuff is not so appreciative and you get hardly any money for it and most people here prefer their things away to good friends who appreciate it.

Your english is great, I have had a look at the e-spinner, and may possibly buy, I buy lots of roving to spin, but use it for embellishing my Harris Tweed.
I also knit socks for my husband, and brothers. I am knitting kilt socks for my nephew who is gettin married and his best man, also kilt socks for my husband and his cousin for another wedding, so for some kilt socks the price is £0.00

@JoanMac: I knited kilt hose some years ago for a wedding and really went mad about it - never ever again!!!!
I'm fine with lace and cables and celtic knots but that kilt hose nearly killed me (pun intended )
So I bow on your feet for doing this kind of work!
(and the Hansen Minispinner isn't the only E-spinner on the market - the Ashford is much more cheaper, just a tad louder and the orifice reducer could be a little bit smaller - range from 25 to 10mm, which is too wide for skinny lace yarns and causes some wobbling if you're not seated in a 90° angle to the E-spinner.)
